Buyers looking in Magnolia keep asking me the same question. Can I find one story, some real land, and a backyard I'll actually use, without giving up a neighborhood? Most of the time you get two of those and settle on the third. Ryder Cup is one of the few I can point to that checks all three.

I live in Lake Windcrest, so I'll tell you about this one the way I'd tell a friend.

Lake Windcrest, from someone who lives here

Lake Windcrest has just over 900 home sites tucked into the pines in Montgomery County. There are four lakes. Windcrest Lake is the one for power boats, and the others are good for kayaking. Every resident has lake access, and there are trails and parks throughout. There's a golf course too, with a ClubCorp membership required. This home isn't on the course.

The lots are big enough that you get privacy, and the community is small enough that people wave when you drive by.

You're off FM 1488, so The Woodlands and Tomball are an easy drive, and Magnolia's town center is close for the everyday stuff.

Who this fits

I picture a few kinds of buyers for this home. Families who want one story living with room for the kids to be outside. Folks who are done with stairs but not done with hosting. And people relocating to the north Houston area who want acreage without being out in the middle of nowhere.
